Students who suddenly crave cheese-covered waffle fries or delicious pancakes should check out the White Plains Coach Diner.
Every college town tends to have a diner where all of the drunk and stoned students convene to grab a late night bite. The White Plains Coach Diner is ours, conveniently located near the Stop and Shop at 50 Westchester Avenue.
Diners typically offer an array of food options, especially in the breakfast area. If a diner refuses to serve pancakes at 3 a.m., you might as well walk out the door. The 24/7 Coach Diner has a huge menu with tons of breakfast treats for you to dine on at any hour.
The food is undoubtedly the best part of the Coach Diner experience. For starters, order a large apple, orange, cranberry, or grapefruit juice for less than $2. The black and white milkshakes are to die for--they are filling and so thick that they almost clog the straws. The shakes only cost $2.50 and are large to be shared with someone else if you are willing.
You can order three fluffy pancakes with a side of bacon for only $6.95. Although the pancakes themselves are cooked to perfection, some customers may complain that the bacon could be crispier.
The diner arguably has some of the best cheese waffle fries around. With your choice of cheddar or American cheese, you can make it your own. The cheese was slightly burnt but it hardly made a difference, and the taste was an affordable $3.95.
At the White Plains Coach Diner you can have anything from bagels to a $2.50 slice of pie. Never feel guilty for having dessert for breakfast or breakfast as your main course. The Coach Diner has successfully filled my stomach and soon will fill yours as well. Bon appétit!
