The Brazen Fox is a great place to start a night of bar hopping, thanks to its variety of drinks, great DJ’s, and food.
The two-floor bar at 175 Mamaroneck Avenue in White Plains creates quite a stir on any evening of the week. However, during sporting events and early Thursday nights, the place might be packed with an older crowd.
The bar’s greatest asset is the amount of space and seating. Downstairs one can find a main bar and porch area, and a small bar and balcony upstairs. The layout is perfect for the Fox's packed weekends.
The classy bar counters are white marble with dark-stained wooden frames. While patrons wait for one of their numerous beers on tap, a glass of fine wine, or a specialty drink, they can watch the game on one of the massive flat screens.
Don’t worry about the sound being blocked out by casual chatter, because big speakers are mounted on all ends of the bar.
The drinks are on the pricey side with beers running up to $6, shots for $5, and specialty drinks are $8 a pop. Fortunately, there is no cover charge, which can’t be said for most of the bars on the strip. The drinks are definitely on the strong side and worth the money.
There are only two complaints. Food service stops at the early hours of 10 or 11 p.m., and there is no designated dance floor.
With a $4 cocktail hour and special offers on Wednesday and Sunday nights, The Brazen Fox is a great place for your crew.
